Salmon Fishing to close in Marine Area 10 (Seattle and Bremerton)

Action: Closes salmon fishing.

Effective dates: April 8–30, 2026

Species affected: All salmon

Location: Marine Area 10

Reason for action: Estimates of Chinook catch indicate anglers have reached management criteria agreed to in the 2025-26 List of Agreed Fisheries (LOAF). It is necessary to close the Marine Area 10 winter salmon fishery to meet agreed to conservation and management objectives.

Additional information: Year-round piers (Bremerton Boardwalk, Illahee State Park, Seacrest Pier, and Waterman Pier) remain open seven days per week.

Fishery managers encourage anglers to sign up for Fishing Rule Change email notifications and to check for emergency rules on the WDFW website before fishing.
