Tulalip Terminal Area opens Fridays and Saturdays beginning May 22

Action: Opens salmon fishing.

Effective dates: May 22—Sept. 7, 2026.

Species affected: Salmon.

Location: Marine Area 8-2, Tulalip Terminal Area – waters west of Tulalip Bay and within 2,000 feet of shore from the pilings at Old Bower’s Resort to a fishing boundary marker approximately 1.4 miles northwest of Hermosa Point and not including waters east of a line drawn from Mission Point to Hermosa Point.

Salmon rules: Open Fridays through Saturdays only of each week, except closed Saturday June 6. Chinook minimum size is 22 inches. Other salmon species, no minimum size. Daily limit is one. Release chum, coho, and wild Chinook. Anglers may fish with two poles with Two-Pole Endorsement.

Reason for action: This emergency rule is necessary to set salmon seasons in Catch Record Card Marine Area 8-2 Tulalip Terminal Area, as agreed to during the 2026-2027 North of Falcon season setting process.

Additional information: Anglers fishing outside of the Tulalip Terminal Area boundaries may be cited for fishing in closed waters. The Tulalip Terminal Area will close once the harvest quota of 600 is reached.
