- Marine Area 8-2 (Port Susan and Port Gardner), except the Tulalip Terminal Area:
- Sept. 21–25, 2026.
- Marine Area 9 (Admiralty Inlet):
- Sept. 21–30, 2026.
Salmon rules: No minimum size. Daily limit one. Release Chinook and chum.
Reason for action: Recreational coho catches have far exceeded pre-season expectations in marine areas 8-2 and 9 this year. Extreme terminal and freshwater areas of 8-2 have not seen signals of high abundance, and freshwater environmental conditions including low water could be affecting migratory behavior of returning coho. A reduction to the daily limit in catch areas 8-2 and 9 is a precautionary measure to ensure that conservation objectives for coho in the Stillaguamish and Snohomish rivers are met.
