Location: Snohomish River, from the railroad bridge upstream of the Lincoln Avenue boat launch southeast of Snohomish to the confluence of the Skykomish and Snoqualmie rivers.
Rules: Closed to fishing.
Reason for action: Targeted reductions to fisheries monitoring funds available to WDFW for the Skagit, Stillaguamish, and Snohomish rivers in the current fiscal year have resulted in decreased monitoring capacity. That loss of capacity requires reducing the geographic footprint of the Snohomish fishery so that adequate monitoring can occur for the portion of the river that will open on Sept. 26.
Additional information: Game fish and salmon fisheries in the mainstem Snohomish River downstream of the railroad bridge above the Lincoln Avenue boat launch will open Sept. 26 as scheduled in the Washington Sport Fishing Rules.
